Advisory - new red light cameras to go live

What: Announcement of the scheduled ‘go live’ of new Police red light cameras at three high risk intersections – two in Auckland, one in Wellington.

 

Where: Intersection of Victoria St and Karo Drive (aka Wellington Inner City Bypass), Wellington. Meet at the grassed area on the south-west side of the intersection (corner nearest Harbour City Motor Inn).

 

When: 10am, Tuesday 28 April 2015. (Note: The cameras will go live on Thursday 30th April).

 

Who: Assistant Commissioner Road Policing Dave Cliff will be available for media interviews, along with representatives from Auckland Transport and Wellington City Council.

 

Parking: The intersection is easily accessed from Kensington Street. Coupon and metered parking is available in Kensington and Abel Smith streets.
