Ammunition seized after search warrant executed in Linwood

Canterbury Police executed a planned search warrant for firearms at a residential property in the Linwood suburb of Christchurch at approximately shortly after 7am this morning (2 April 2015).  Cordons were established around the area as a precaution while Canterbury Police AOS cleared the property. 

A quantity of ammunition was seized along with drug paraphernalia. 

Canterbury Police have an ongoing operation to target drugs and illegal firearms in the District to prevent the crime this illegal activity supports.

Anyone who can provide any information relating to illegal drugs and firearms in their neighbourhood are encouraged to contact Police by calling 03 363 7400.
