Police investigating the death of Leigh Wallace following a shooting in Otorohanga on Friday are appealing for sightings of a distinctive vehicle.
A black and white ute was parked on the Otorohanga-bound side of Rangitoto Road from around 1pm until 5:30pm on Friday 31 August.
The Nissan ute has a home-built raised cab on the back, with a canvas cover, and a black snorkel exhaust at the front passenger side.
We're appealing particularly to truck drivers and trucking firms which use Rangitoto Road as a short cut between Te Kuiti and Otorohanga, and if these drivers have dash cam footage that may help Police.
If anyone has dash-cam footage of Rangitoto Road on Friday afternoon, particularly of this distinctive ute, Police are keen to hear from you, as we piece together what happened.
