Appeal for new witness in Greys Ave fall

Police are appealing for assistance from new witnesses to an incident in Greys Avenue, Auckland on 28 December, where a man was critically injured after falling from an apartment building.

Police want to hear from a taxi driver and passenger who are believed to have witnessed the incident and were captured on CCTV at the time.   

Detective Senior Sergeant Marcia Murray said: “The taxi is seen on CCTV footage arriving on Greys Avenue about 00:28am, just minutes before the incident occurred.

“It is important to the investigation that police identify and speak to both the taxi driver and passenger as they are crucial witnesses.

They should contact Detective Senior Sergeant Murray, Operation Sand, on 09 213 8328 or information can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
