Nelson Police have charged a 45-year-old man in relation to multiple burglaries committed in the Richmond area.
Tasman Senior Sergeant Blair Hall said several people have been victims of house burglaries in the past week.
"Burglary is a crime that is very stressful for our community, and this is aggravated by the fact these burglaries happened over the Christmas break.
"I'd like to thank Police staff who worked tirelessly to achieve this result. We have even had staff come in on days off to resolve these cases and arrest the alledged offender, who will appear in court next week."
