Arrests made in Papatoetoe aggravated robbery

1 min read

Counties Manukau Police have arrested two teenagers following an alleged aggravated robbery at Hari Superette, Papatoetoe on 3 April 2016.

Two females, aged 14 and 16 have been charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in the Youth Court.

The arrests came after a number of search warrants were carried out in Counties Manukau.

Police are continuing to identify the other offenders involved in this alleged incident, however one of those already arrested was, Police believe, primarily responsible for the violent assault on the shop attendant.

Detective Senior Sergeant Kevin McNaughton would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance in identifying those allegedly involved.

“I hope that these arrests will be of some comfort to the victims and the Papatoetoe community. I am confident more arrests will be made and Police welcome any further information which may help identify those still outstanding.”

As the matter is now before the courts, Police will not be making any further comment.
