Car recovered in Norrie Street shooting

Waikato Police are thanking members of the public who have so far provided information into the shooting of a 14 year-old boy on Norrie Street, Hamilton, on Thursday 16 June 2016.

As a direct result of information police received, staff have now located and recovered the vehicle believed to be the one used during the incident.

Police have also completed a forensic examination of the vehicle and will be following up on lines of enquiry.

Police continue to ask the public for their assistance with providing information.

Anyone with information who has yet to speak with the police are asked to call Detective Sergeant Andrew Saunders on (07) 858 6200.

Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
