In joining New Zealand Police Constable Stacey Holvey continues her career path with a focus on serving her country.
Constable Holvey joined the New Zealand Army straight from school and rose to the rank of corporal before changing forces and joining the Royal New Zealand Air Force in 2006.
“A highlight of my time with the RNZAF was a five-month operational tour to the Solomon Islands followed by six months in Afghanistan.”
Constable Holvey retired from the RNZAF at the rank of sergeant and moved to a civilian posting at Ohakea before coming to Police College.
“I want to use my skills and experiences gained while in the Army and Air Force to help those who aren’t able to speak up or stand up for themselves. I have a lot more to offer and working for New Zealand Police will enable me to do that.”
Stacey will make sure she marches in time at the graduation parade today as her former boss, Group Captain Darryn Webb (RNZAF), will be attending the graduation to support her.
Constable Holvey has been posted to Central District.
