Canterbury Organised Crime Unit have exposed a methamphetamine supply ring in Christchurch this afternoon.
Throughout the day Police executed a number of searches of addresses and vehicles across the city. Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine, cash, motor vehicles and synthetic drugs were seized in connection to the ring.
At least one firearm has been recovered and three men were arrested. They will appear in court tomorrow on a range of charges.
“The Police will continue to detect, intervene and disrupt organised crime groups in Canterbury to prevent methamphetamine distribution in the city," says Detective Sergeant Phillip Sparks.
"This is a message to drug criminals and organised crime groups that Police won’t tolerate them making money out of drug users and harming the community."
As this matter is before the courts, Police is unable to comment further.
