1 min read

Earlier today, Police and emergency services were in attendance at a vehicle crash on Main Road, Redcliffe, in Christchurch.

It appears a 45 year old female driver has failed to take a corner correctly and has hit three pedestrians who were walking on the footpath.

One pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the other two pedestrians who received minor injuries were treated at the scene.

Police have begun an investigation into the cause of the crash, however the female driver has been arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Both lanes are now open for traffic.
