Police are advising motorists to avoid travel on SH1 north between Plimmerton and Paraparaumu in Wellington following a number of incidents.
Police are responding to a vehicle crash in Paekakariki just north of the railway crossing involving a truck and a car. Additionally there is also a four car crash northbound through Pukerua Bay.
Emergency services are also responding to reports of a diesel spill also on SH1 northbound in the area of Whenua Tapu Cemetery.
Motorists are asked to be patient and avoid all non urgent travel in the area.
