Dunedin Police looking for information

1 min read

Last night (Thursday, 3 July) at around 11.30pm, Police attended a Maitland Street address where it appears a male has been shot with an air rifle. The male was taken to hospital and is now in a stable condition.

Police are still making inquiries into what exactly happened, however would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the Maitland Street area last night and saw anything suspicious.

Members of the public can call the Dunedin police station on (04) 471 4800. Alternatively, information can be provided via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police believe this to be an isolated incident and would like to let the public know they should have no concerns for their safety.
