Hamilton Police are appealing for information in relation to an assault at the Anglesea Pharmacy on Sunday 26th April at around 3.10pm.

A man has approached a woman talking on her cell phone, assaulted her, and run from the pharmacy. The woman later required medical attention in the unprovoked attack.

Senior Constable Paul Helwig is hoping the public appeal can help to identify the offender and provide some relief for the victim. “We hope that someone is able to recognise the man and provide us with information that may help us pursue this enquiry.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton Police on (07) 858 6200. Information can also be provided anonymously through the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

ENDS.

Issued by Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greene
