Police are currently in attendance at a serious crash in Te Atatu involving a vehicle and a young child.
The incident happened on Jaemont Avenue at around 1.30pm and a four-year-old child has been taken to Starship Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
The exact circumstances of the crash are not yet known.
Jaemont Avenue has been closed however this will not significantly impact road users.
The Waitemata Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
