Police are continuing to investigate an incident in Papakura this afternoon where two people have suffered stab wounds.
A 31-year-old woman remains in a serious condition in Middlemore Hospital, however her injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening.
A 16-year-old male is receiving treatment in Middlemore hospital for moderate injuries.
The woman and man are known to each other and we do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
A baby at the address was uninjured in the incident and is being cared for by relatives.
A scene examination at an address on Willis Street is underway and will continue tomorrow.
There is unlikely to be any further updates this evening.
