Information sought after aggravated robbery of Napier store

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify three offenders for the aggravated robbery of the Meeanee Store, Napier.

It happened at about 5.30am on Thursday 15 December 2016 when opening the store for the day’s business.

A family member of the owner was confronted by three males, armed with knives. 

The family member fought off two of the males, receiving several cuts to his hands.

The third male ran into the store taking several packets of tobacco before running out of the store.

He ran with the other two males to a black sedan parked on Gavin Black Street.

The black sedan was seen to drive down Gavin Black Street towards Maltby Street.

The males are possibly aged in their late teens to early 20s. They were wearing dark clothing, including hoodies and scarves over their faces.
