Canterbury Police have executed two search warrants at residential addresses in eastern Christchurch today as part of an ongoing investigating into the alleged assault and kidnap of a man in his 20’s on Monday (13 July 2015).

Detective Sergeant Geoff Rudduck says “After speaking to a number of people in the area today Canterbury Police believe this was a isolated incident.  The investigative team are making good progress in establishing the circumstances which resulted in the victim being allegedly kidnapped and assaulted on Monday.”

Unfortunately due to operational commitments Detective Sergeant Rudduck is not available to undertake any interviews at this time.
