Levin Police can now release the name of the woman who died in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 57 and Waihou Road, Levin yesterday (12 July, 2015) evening.
She was Fiona Rae, aged 48 of Palmerston North.
The crash occurred at about 8pm between a north and south bound vehicle.
Yesterday's media release relating to this incident incorrectly referred to the injured driver as female.
The injured male driver is currently in Palmerston North Hospital in a stable condition.
Over the coming days officers will speak with witnesses including the male driver of the south bound vehicle.
The crash investigation is ongoing however preliminary indications suggest the north bound vehicle may have crossed the centre-line before colliding with the south bound vehicle.
The death has been referred to the Coroner.
