A 32 year old man is in custody and under guard at Auckland Hospital after receiving surgery for a gunshot injury to his leg.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident, which occurred around 6:30pm on Saturday evening in West Auckland. No one else is sought in relation to the incident.
