Police can confirm that a man who is the subject of an incident in Henwood Road, Mangere has been taken into custody.
The man was arrested without incident at a business address in Papakura, a short time ago.
Police have evacuated the neighbouring properties of a Henwood Road house, after information was received this morning about the possibility of home-made explosives inside the address.
Kingsford Primary School is outside the cordoned zone, however Police have contacted that school in case their students live within the cordoned zone.
No other schools have been asked to evacuate by Police.
AOS and the Bomb Squad are now clearing the house, however the man who was the subject of this incident has been taken into custody.
