Favona Road is now open to one lane following a crash around 2pm near Harania Avenue.
Police expect to have the road fully reopened within the next hour.
An 8-year-old is in Middlemore Hospital with serious injuries following the crash, along with a newborn baby with minor injuries.
Please note previous reports that the injured child was two-years-old were incorrect, the child is 8-years-old.
As the Serious Crash Unit is investigating Police won’t be commenting further.
