Police will release further details about the fatal shooting during a pre-planned search warrant operation in Hamilton at 9.30am tomorrow morning.
The location of the stand-up will be confirmed in the morning; it will be held in Hamilton.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing and police are working to establish details of exactly what happened. The scene will be contained overnight and the Independent Police Conduct Authority has been notified, as is standard for such incidents.
Police will not be in a position to release further information before the media conference tomorrow morning.
