Media Advisory - Renee Duckmanton homicide trial

Media are advised that Detective Inspector Darryl Sweeney will speak on behalf of Renee Duckmanton’s family after the verdict is handed down today at Christchurch High Court.
 
A short stand-up will be held outside Court after the verdict.
 
Police would like to thank the media for their assistance in appealing for public information throughout this case, and for the respect that has been shown to Renee’s family, who have endured every minute of harrowing evidence in the last two weeks.  
 
Detective Inspector Sweeney would also like to acknowledge the team of detectives who worked on this case, and who demonstrated the professionalism and hard work required in this type of investigation.
 
Renee’s family ask that media please respect their privacy and do not approach them for comment.
