Media Invitation – Ramadan Iftar Ceremony

1 min read

Counties Manukau Police are hosting the first Ramadan Iftar Dinner ceremony at the Counties Manukau station.

Ramadan is the fasting from dawn to sunset and the Iftar dinner is held as a traditional celebration to break the fast of Ramadan together.

The event signifies togetherness and is being held to promote inclusiveness, celebrate diversity and strengthen our relationship and cooperation with the Muslim Community.

This is the first time a dinner of this nature has been held on Police premises and we invite all media to join us in celebrating diversity in our community.

Media are invited to join us on Thursday, 7 June 2018 at the Manukau Police Station, 42 Manukau Station Road, Manukau.

The official programme starts at 4.40pm followed by Iftar at 5.16pm.  Please RSVP by 4 June, to Constable Satvir Sen on Satvir.sen@police.govt.nz or 021 191 0818.
