Northland Police can confirm the young girl who went missing in Northland earlier today has been found safe and well. She was found by searchers at approximately 8.45pm.
The four-year-old was reported missing approximately 2.45pm today and an extensive search was launched for her in the rural Arapohue area near Dargaville, involving Police, family and friends.
The initial search proved unsuccessful and assistance was sought from LandSAR, NZ Fire Service and two helicopters.
Her family are understandably relieved to have her back safe and well, and Police want to thank all those who assisted in the search.
Police would also like to thank members of the public who offered their support for the search.
