Offenders quickly apprehended for theft from Christchurch School

Police have arrested and charged two people after they stole from Addington Primary School overnight.

Police were called to the address when an alarm was activated at approximately 2:20am and discovered some items from the music room had been taken.

Two dog handlers got to work tracking the offenders and caught up with them quickly.

They had taken an amplifier and some other electronic equipment in the burglary.

The two men have been charged with burglary and will be appearing in Christchurch District Court today.
