Palmerston North Police are attending a firearms incident at a residential address on Glen Place, Awapuni.
A person has fired an air-rifle from inside the house. No one has received any injuries from this shot.
Police Armed Offenders Squad and a Police Negiotiation Team have been deployed.
One person remains inside the property and Police are communicating with them.
No one else is being sought in relation to this incident.
There are cordons in place around the property and there are currently no fears for public safety.
