1 min read

At approximately 11.40am hours on Wednesday, 30 March 2016, a Mosgiel Police patrol was advised of a car that was leaving the forecourt of the BP service station who had not paid for fuel.

The car accelerated away, however police managed to track it to a nearby street with assistance from members of the public.

As the police car turned into the street, it was rammed by the offending vehicle with both vehicles sustaining moderate damage and becoming immobilised.

The driver and three occupants have then fled through the neighbouring properties. A number of cordons were established and a dog team was deployed to located the individuals.

As a result, a 14 year-old male has been arrested on theft, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and unlawful taking.

The other three occupants, two 14 year-old females and one 15 year-old male, have been charged with unlawfully getting into a motor vehicle.

No one was injured as a result of the crash
