Police investigating incident in Stoke, Nelson

Police are seeking help from the public in relation to an incident on Tuesday 6th December 2016 at approximately 5:15-5.30pm on the corner of Arapiki and Main Roads in Stoke.

A teenage boy was walking near the intersection when a white Toyota 4-door vehicle driving south along Main Road Stoke has stopped next to him.

A man got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and made to cut the teenagers arm with a knife. The victim moved and the knife grazed his arm causing a minor cut.

The attacker has then gotten back into the vehicle and the male driver did a U-turn and drove off in the opposite direction.

Police and Victim Support are working with the victim who is understandably shaken.

The victim described the offenders as men in their early twenties.

The attacker had dark hair with a rats tail and he was wearing an orange t-shirt and red shorts. 

The driver had an afro type hairstyle and was wearing a red t-shirt and dark shorts.

Nelson Police would like to hear from anyone who may have information to help their investigation into this matter.
