Kerikeri Police are investigating a report that an Air New Zealand aircraft was hit by a green laser strike at Kerikeri Airport this morning around 6.10am.
The aircraft had just departed from the airport and was flying at around 1,500 feet at the time when the laser strike occurred.
Police are taking this incident seriously and are making enquiries into this incident.
