1 min read

Please attribute to Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Quested.

Last night Timaru and Christchurch Police searched a Timaru address where they located a cut down shot gun, a cut down high powered rifle and a small amount of Methamphetamine.

A 20 year old Timaru man with gang connections was arrested without incident as a result of the search. He will face charges of unlawful possession of two firearms and possession of a class A drug.

Police are committed to keeping our community safe. Firearms are incredibly dangerous in the hands of criminals and police will take positive action to recover them.
