Police are actively seeking an 18 year-old man who escaped from the Auckland District Court this afternoon.
Brandon Pora is facing three charges of aggravated robbery, one of common assault, one of threatening behaviour and assaults with intent to rob.
He failed to appear in the Auckland District Court last week on these charges but made a voluntary appearance this afternoon at the court.
Pora had just been ordered to be remanded in custody by the Judge when he broke free from an Authorised Officer, fleeing out of the dock and then out of the court.
The Authorised Officer chased him but he was lost as he ran out onto the street. Police were sent to the scene and the surrounding area but he hasn’t yet been found.
