Police looking for Bradley Johns in relation to central Auckland shooting

Auckland City Police are looking for a man with warrants to arrest in relation to a shooting in central Auckland.

37 year-old Bradley Mark Johns is wanted to arrest on charges of careless use of a firearm causing bodily injury and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The incident occurred in early December at central Auckland apartment in Gore St, when a woman was shot in the leg. The victim has since been discharged from hospital and is still recovering from her injury.

The investigation into identifying the person responsible has been ongoing since early December. Bradley Johns has been identified from forensic evidence found during the scene examination and CCTV footage that was obtained by Police.  Bradley Johns is aware that he will be charged with the December incident and is believed to be actively evading Police.

Despite efforts to locate him, Bradley Johns remains outstanding. He is from the Northland area but is known to travel often to Auckland.

He is described as having a large build, approximately 177cms tall. He has several tattoos on his arms, including Bob Marley on his right shoulder.

Anyone who knows where Bradley Johns is or has seen him should call 111 immediately.

He should not be approached by members of the public .
