Police have launched a search after we received reports a 4 year-old girl had gone missing from a rural property in the Arapohue area.
Police, along with family and friends, have been searching for the girl since she was reported missing at approximately 2.45pm today.
Due to an initial search being unsuccessful, police have sought the assistance of LandSAR, NZ Fire and a helicopter to help with the search.
Police are asking for anyone who sees a four year-old girl who is by herself in the Arapohue area to contact police immediately on 09 430 4500.
