1 min read

Please attribute to Acting Inspector Paul Reeves, Area Prevention Manager Canterbury

Police are investigating several robberies in Christchurch over the last few days and are appealing for help from the public to identify the people responsible.

Someone will know the people involved in these crimes and we urge them to come forward. Police would  also like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious before or after the robberies or anyone that may have heard anything in relation to them.

If anyone is offered cut-price or unusual quantities of cigarettes or tobacco, please contact Police immediately.

Police have visited numerous dairies, takeaway shops and service stations throughout the city to review security measures and provide prevention advice and we are committed to keeping the community safe.

We urge anyone who sees anything suspicious to report it to Police immediately.  If there are dairy owners who want advice on keeping themselves safe please contact their local police station.

People can also pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or contact the Christchurch Police on: (03) 363 7400
