Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a group of men involved in an aggravated robbery in Havelock North this week.

About 11.20pm on Monday 4 June, three or four offenders, two of whom were armed with weapons, smashed a glass display in the Mobil petrol station on Havelock Road and stole cigarettes.

The attendant was unharmed but extremely shaken.

“Police believe people in the community will know exactly who this group is. They have taken hammers with the intent of inflicting harm or intimidating the Mobil worker — their aim was achieved,” Detective Sergeant Craig Vining says.

“We urge friends and family of these individuals to make contact with Police. Ask yourself whether you want someone you know to be given the freedom to do this again, potentially seriously hurting someone and ruining their own life in the process.”

Police have previously appealed for sightings of a 1996 silver Subaru Impreza station wagon used in the robbery.

Anyone who may be able to identify the men pictured in the CCTV images is urged to contact Hastings Police on 06 831 0700 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
