The Police organised crime team are hoping to identify the rightful owners of a sizeable collection of Star Wars figurines and other collectable figurines that were seized during operation Flyer in the Wellington Region this month.

Operation Flyer involved searches of nine properties across the region looking for evidence relating to the production and supply of methamphetamine, and money laundering involving the Head Hunters gang.

Detective Senior Sergeant Nick Pritchard says Police found the figurines in Paraparaumu and Upper Hutt.

"Information gathered during the investigation leads us to believe the property has been stolen from victims in the Porirua to Kapiti Coast area, and to date no one has reported them missing. We'd like to find out who they've been taken from. The owner may not yet know themselves.

"We believe they were stolen during the middle of February."

If you can provide information relevant to this, please contact Detective Paul Hamlyn Tel: 04 979 5118.
