Police seeking damaged Toyota Rav4 in relation to Napier burglary

A man broke into a Napier house at 5:30 am on Sunday 24 April.

A young couple were awoken by a man who walked into their bedroom brandishing a hammer and covering his face with a bandana.

He left after a short time in a vehicle, which took off at a high speed and hit a tree stump on the way out of the driveway.

The driver of the vehicle left damaged parts behind where the car crashed.

Police believe the parts belong to a two tone dark Toyota Rav4 – it will have moderate damage to its front left bumper. 

Two individuals were in the car but only one went into the house.
