Police have engaged in a pursuit with a wanted car in the Wellington region overnight.
The pursuit lasted 15 minutes, through Lower Hutt and Wainuiomata.
It ended when officers deployed spikes to stop the vehicle in the Lower Hutt suburb of Naenae.
Police currently have a male in custody.
There will be no further comment while this matter is under investigation.
