Southern Police wish to advise 3 large trees having fallen across the Queenstown-Glenorchy road near Bobs Cove.
As a result the road through to Glenorchy is currently closed on the Glenorchy side of Bob's Cove.
Local roading services are working to clear the scene, however weather is hampering efforts to remove the blockage.
A further update will be made following any progress.
Police advise motorists to take care in the servere weather causing damage and debris to be affecting numerous Southern District roads.
