Auckland City Police can now confirm that the body recovered from Auckland harbour on Sunday 18 October was that of missing Indian student Mandeep Singh.
Mr Singh’s death is now the subject of a Coroner’s enquiry.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Marcia Murray said: ”Our thoughts are with family and friends of Mandeep and we ask that their privacy is respected at this time.”
She said Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in this case.
