Rescuers have reached the group trapped on an off-road track at Waikaia Bush Road.
The group is currently being moved via snowcats to a point below the snowline, where they will be transferred to four wheel drive vehicles for the remainder of the trip to Roxburgh. At this stage it is expected to take at least two hours to get the group to Roxburgh, however this is subject to weather conditions and other variables.
All members of the group are reported to be well. Further information will be provided at the media stand-up at 4pm today.
