Emergency services are responding to a head-on crash on State Highway 1, just south of Paekakariki, Wellington.
The road is closed between the railway overbridge and Paekakariki Hill Road.
Diversions are in place via Paekakariki Hill Road for southbound traffic and Ames Street, Paekakariki for northbound traffic.
There is no information at this stage on the number of people involved or any injuries.
