Police were called to a robbery at the Choice Convenience store on Glenview Terrace and Bruce Avenue at 6.30 this morning.
Two men entered the store, one of them carrying a baseball bat. This offender struck the store owner on the arm and the vitim has received injuries to their arm and is now in hospital receiving treatment.
The second offender stole cigarettes while the assault took place.
The offenders left the store and got into a silver vehicle which left at speed.
If anyone was in the store at the time, or nearby or may have seen anything, Police would be grateful if they came forward with any information.
