Robbery of Security Cash Van

Canterbury Police are investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 11:40am this morning (27 November 2015) where two men are reported to have assaulted and robbed security company staff of an undisclosed amount of money from the McDonalds car park, near the airport.

Detective Damon Wells says it was lucky that no one was hurt during this robbery.  "Police and the security company are supporting the staff targeted in this incident."

Canterbury Police investigations to locate those involved in the robbery are ongoing and advise employees and members of the public involved in transferring or moving money to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Please contact Police if you witnessed the incident or were in the carpark and saw a white VW Golf Polo parked there or leaving the carpark around 11.40am.
