Search resumes on West Coast

1 min read

The search of the Poerua River on the West Coast for missing two year old Emily Saunders is resuming this morning.

The search will involve the Police National Dive Squad and victim recovery dogs who will be deployed down the river via jet boat.

Area Commander West Coast Inspector Mel Aitken says the river level has dropped and conditions are good to commence this phase of the operation.

Police are continuing to offer their full support  to Emily’s family at this sad time.
