Search warrant leads to arrests

Police executed a search warrant at a Wairau Valley address on State Highway 63 on Monday, August 27.

The warrant related to methamphetamine dealing in the Marlborough Area.

Police staff located a clandestine laboratory at the address and secured the scene.

Experts from the ESR and the National Clan Lab Response Team were deployed to assist.

Two 35 –year-old men were arrested and charged, one for unlawful possession of a firearm and the other for dealing methamphetamine.

The investigation is ongoing.
