Second arrest over New Plymouth dairy robberies

A second man has been arrested and charged in relation to the aggravated robbery at the Highlands Dairy and the attempted aggravated robbery of the Barriball Street Dairy in New Plymouth, both on Sunday 30 September.

The 18-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery and appeared in New Plymouth District Court today. He was remanded in custody and is due to re-appear on Thursday 11 October.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to these incidents.

However, Police are still seeking information on the movements of a vehicle involved in the robbery of the Highlands Dairy.

Anyone who saw a 1996 silver Nissan Bluebird, registration ZH6819, in the New Plymouth area on Sunday 30 September between 6pm and 9.30pm is asked to contact New Plymouth Police on (06) 759 5500.
