At 2.00pm today there was a serious motor vehicle crash involving a ute and a motorbike at the intersection of Farndon and Pakowai Roads in Hastings.
The 45-year-old female rider of the motorbike is in critical condition and has been transported to Hastings Hospital while the sole occupant of the ute did not require any medical attention.
The Police Serious Crash Unit are present and diversions are in place immediately around the scene.
Please note that there are road closures on Pakowai Road in both directions for an indefinite period.
No further information is available at this time and it is unknown when the road will be cleared. ENDS
