Emergency services are in attendance at a serious crash on the Otira Highway, Westland District.
One car was involved in the crash which happened shortly before 4pm. The crash occurred on the highway between Jacksons and Hohonu and the road is currently closed however one lane is expected to be opened shortly.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid any unnecessary travel in the area.
Details on any injuries are not available at this time.
